The work was created during the pandemic, when the world suddenly shrank to a very small space. I placed my family inside a matchbox, creating a small model of our everyday life at the time – everyone together, squeezed into just a few centimetres. This tiny space can feel safe, but also cramped and sometimes even uncomfortable, despite the closeness.
